The Starla is unique among the various PRS models. The guitar is endowed with many vintage themed appointments and is PRS's first solidbody to feature the Bigsby B5 tremolo, Grover Tune-O-Matic Bridge, and exclusive Starla Treble and Bass pickups. Other features include Vintage Orange finish; solid mahogany body; wide-fat, mahogany neck; 24.5" scale; rosewood fingerboard; 3-way pickup selector; and coil tap for both pickups.
One of our favorite features of the Starla is the Bigsby B5 tailpiece vibrato. In the many years I have played guitar, I have tried them all - Kahler, Floyd Rose, Fender, Wilkinson, PRS, etc. In the end, the Bigsby vibrato is my hands-down favorite vibrato/tremolo system. The Bigsby delivers incredibly expressive vibrato; resists detuning during string bends; provides excellent access to the bridge for palming; can be moved completely out of the way; and, of course, provides that unique, Bigsby tailpiece sound. On the Starla, the combination of the Bigsby, Starla pickups, and mahogany body & neck make for one great playing and sweet sounding guitar!
This Starla is in like-new condition. It has an easy-playing action and sounds great. The guitar comes complete with factory case, warranty card, instructions, truss rod wrench, case key, and hang tag. We just installed a fresh set of Ernie Ball Classic Pure Nickel Wound 10~46 strings, so it's ready to rock 'n roll!
